Internships

VEA has an established internship program via local colleges and universities and programs like OnRamps to Careers and Hiring our Heroes. An internship is work experience where the intern gains industry knowledge and builds professional skills by undergoing trainings, performing tasks, and completing assignments, which promotes an intern’s ability to take initiative and work autonomously. VEA can engage with interns through in-person mentoring, collaborative platforms, training, e-mails, and phone calls.
Real Life Experience
Learning Objectives:
Interns are expected to develop a basic understanding of the fundamental concepts of business management and functional activities. The internship will focus on three components:

Professional mentorship and engagement.
Interns will be able to:

Maintain a 3.0 Cumulative grade point average (GPA) (if a student)

Candidate must have a degree or major related to Human Resources, Marketing, Accounting/Finance, Information Technology or Business

Must have experience with MS Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Must have great oral and written communications skills

Ability to work remotely and multitask projects
